AEF Fall and Spring SAT Workshops

Twice a year in the Fall and Spring, the Academic Empowerment Foundation provides an SAT preparation workshop.

Proposal for SAT Preparation Workshop    (Fall/Spring)

Objective:  The objective for SAT Preparation Workshop is to aid high school student in improving their SAT scores.


Criteria for Participation in Program:

  • The student must be enrolled in a high school in the Washington D.C. Metro Area
  • The student must be recommended by an athletic coach or teacher.
  • A parent or guardian of the student must approve the student’s participation.

Expectations and Responsibilities

  • Each student must attend all scheduled sessions.
  • Each student will be responsible for transportation to and from SAT Workshop location.
  • All classes will be at Ebenezer AME Church located at 7806 Allentown Road in Fort Washington, MD.
  • Dates of SAT Workshop:  Every Saturday.  (Tentatively September thru November 2008)
  • Each workshop will begin at 8:00 A.M. and end at 12:00 P.M.

Fee

  • Participants must submit a $65 certified check or money order payable to the Academic Empowerment Foundation, INC (AEF) with their application prior to the beginning of classes.
  • The $25 deposit will be refunded to the participant with his or her successful completion of the program.  Successful completion of the program includes attending all allocated sessions in a timely manner.
  • Please make check payable to Academic Empowerment Foundation, INC. (AEF) and return with application

Benefits:  Students will benefit from this service by attaining the adequate knowledge to perform at a high level on the SAT.  Attaining a high score on the SAT will enable the student-athlete to have a better opportunity of acceptance to an accredited college or university.

I understand that I will be responsible for prompt arrival and transportation to and from the SAT Preparation Workshop located at Ebenezer AME Church at 7806 Allentown Road, Fort Washington, Maryland. I also understand that in order to receive my $25.00 refundable deposit my son/daughter must attend all workshop sessions at the allocated date time.
